If you’ve never heard of Give Directly, it’s an organization which gives the worlds poorest the thing they need the most – cash. The hat is double knit with a stockinette motif. Mine is made with Malibrigo Rios, a super-soft superwash merino. It takes one skein each of two colors. Knit it short like I did, or keep going to make a fold over brim.
You can find the pattern on Ravelry and it’s only $5.50.
