Posh Cowl

Like many of you, here in the Midwest we are still in the firm grip of Old Man Winter. Single digit highs and below zero lows have become the norm in the past few weeks. Logically, we know Spring will be upon us eventually, it still feels a long way off. On the positive side, there is still plenty of time to knit the Posh Cowl for yourself or a friend. Three sizes of mitered squares make the cowl wider at the bottom than the top. Slip stitches add texture to the mitered squares. Rounds knit in a contrasting color create a frame around each of the mitered squares.

The long version will keep your neck and head warm while running errands or walking the dog. It is made with Perfectly Posh Singles from Dream in Color Yarn.

If you are lucky enough to be in an area where Spring is starting to show it’s stuff, knit the short version instead. Knit with Annadele Alpacas alpaca/silk blend yarn, it offers a bit of warmth, and a bit of flare. The Posh Cowl is the third of six projects in the Knitter’s Gallery of Mitered Scarves Club. It is available on Ravelry and the Knit Along is underway in A B-ewe-tiful Design Group. It’s not too late to join in the fun.
