This Double Knit hat is reversible and has an optional longer length for a fold over brim.

1 skein each, Worsted-weight wool blend yarn; Approx. 105 (115) yards each color or 150 (170) yards for a fold over brim.

I USED

Malabrigo Rios (100% Superwash Merino - 210 yards/192 m) 100g in colors Natural and Plomo. 

​

GAUGE

16 Sets of stitches/32 rows = 4 inches32 stitches/32 rows = 4 inches 

 

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 

20 (22.5) inches circumference. Length is adjustable

Why Knot Fibers Splendid (75% merino, 12.5% yak, 12.5% alpaca) - 230 yards/210 m) 50g in: Cool color version: Color A - Natural, B - Moss, C - Lake Affect, D - Ripple, E - Dune Grass. Warm color version: Color A - Natural,

B - Red Spire, C - Spiced Cider, D - Sweet Potato, E - Amber.

GAUGE

26 stitches/33 rounds = 4 inches in stranded knitting pattern on larger needle.  

 

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

27 stitches/48 rounds = 4 inches in Wave pattern on larger needle.

GAUGE

This stitch pattern is tricky for gauge because the stitch count varies every other row. Therefore stitch gauge is in pattern repeats instead of stitches. 9 pattern repeats/41 rounds = 4 inches in pattern on largest needle.  

 

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 

Circumference: 18.5 (20)" unstretched. Height: 9.5"

A Peak Inside

A Peak Inside is worked with inside facing out. Once complete, turn it so the outside is facing out before weaving in the ends.

​

GAUGE

18 stitches and 28 rows over 4" in stockinette stitch.
